Ich möchte eine bier bitte

Hallo!
I'm sorry, that I haven't updated in ages, I've just been very busy.
This weekend I had my first rotary weekend, and it was alot alot of fun. We stayed at some house camp thing that was Adolf Hitlers vaction home, so I'm told. But it was very nice.
Friday, Oswald, Arturo, nora, hannah, and myself all took the train three hours to get there. That was my first experince on the train, and I have to say It wasnt too bad. Once we arrived I immeditaley went to find Emily and Angelo! ( USA and Argentina) We all had dinner then we got to listen to the rules of rotary. The rotarians all spoke in english which was fantastic.

Well, pick up your gear and gypsy roll on, roll on.

So yesterday I begrudginly attended Heikes brothers birthday party.

I have to say, I never appreciated my family as much as I do until I went there. The germans never really said one word to me, because i didnt know german I assume. We all just sat in the room and the family just spoke softly to eachother, there were actually akward silences! It was the oddest thing I have ever experinced. And not that I need someone to hold my hand, but they didnt try to include me one bit in anything! If someone who was deaf, blind, and dumb came to any birthday party or something of my family we would find any means to make the person feel included! ( Also, thank you guys so much for commenting on this blog, it makes me so happy when you do! LOVE YOU)
But anyway, we eventually left the party. And on the way out my host dad gave me and my 13 yr old host brother, alexander, large long baguettes to hold. So naturally, I turn over to Alex and in my best darth vader voice challenge him to a lightsaber battle. So there we are in the kitchen with all the akward germans dueling with baguettes, or in our mind, lightsabers. It was the funniest thing that happended at that entire party ( for me atleast.) l dont think i gave Heikes family a very good impression of americans but honestly, i could careless. i just wanted my own family. Uncle Bill, Karen, Debbie, Nana, all those little girls with the three letter names ( Ava, Gia,etc.) And everyone else

Will someone please buy me Frank Sinatra:Nothing but the Best CD? It's relatively new and I cant find it anywhere here.I also cant download it onto my computer because no Wifi anywhere.
I promise I'll send you something German in return :)

Too cool for school

Right now I should be attending my ever rigourus math class, but instead im here, in the library updating my blog. Nothing too exciting has went on since I last posted. Two days ago I went to a BBQ in a neighboring village. It was for all the exchange students in surronding areas. I met alot of people, alot of them were germans who went to the US. The food was good, very american actually. Hot dogs, potato salad, salad, and jello. But it was delious opposed to the bland nasty food my host family feeds me.
Today is my long day of classes, I´m here till 3:30. But thats only because my last two classes are art. I havent been to art yet, so im excited. Its a class I can actually do! Hell maybe be good at!
Tonight I have to attend a birthday party with my host family. I´m not too excited about this though, its my host moms brothers brithday. And considering she knows NO english, i doubt her family will either. So, atleast I can avoid the inevitable akward small talk by the food table.

This satuday I´m going to a music festival however! Its mostly rock bands and alternative music, so I´m very excited! Its not that far away from my village so i may be riding a bike there. Because if not im not sure how im supposed to get back. One girl told me to go there around 8pm, and people will leave around 5 am. 5am?! I´m supposed to peddle my lazy ass home 10 km at 5oclock in the morning! Think again.
Oh well ill figure it out and let you know

Corn 80% alchol 100% disgusting

So, last night was my first official german party! Woo-hoo.
It was surprisingly different than all the american parties. First there were a ton of people there. You had to be 16 to get in, but they didnt check my Id and I get the 18yr and over stamp with no problem, so no being kicked out at midnight for me! We didnt get there till around 10:30, and didnt leave till 4ish. People apperantly party till 6 here, not me, I'm a lazy american. My feet started hurting at 1 for christ sakes. but overall it was very fun, I'm meeting some cute german boy in flensburg on monday, lisas coming with me, thank god. And we may all go see The Dark Knight in english. But im still not sure about this german fellow, he was with some ugly girl on the bus earlier yesterday, i asked him about it, and it was his girlfriend. Well, I'd like to have a few words with her about him haha. Poor girl. Oh well, overall it was very fun, and i ended up sleeping over this girl Nellys house. I kept saying WHHOOAAA NELLLY all night, but noone got it. Hmmph. Germans think I'm very strange I think.
Today, I was supposed to meet up with Chris in Flensbug maybe, but I dont think I'm up for it. And All the roads are closed due to a marathon. Go figure

Send me hot sauce

Hallo!
As you all may or may not know, I started school this week. ( Hence, my lack of updates)
School here is different in every way from school in America. It starts and ends at different times, taking the bus is socially acceptable, and noone sleeps in class! ( Except me) And as a exchange student and a non-german speaker all the classes sound exactly the same to me. I typically only go to english, math, physics, and history. These are all on different days. So, I have a lot of free periods. This may sound boring but it's not. The 11,12,and 13th grade kids have there own lounge. Theres akitchen and radio and couches. Today people were making pizza instead of going to class. You can also leave school grounds, which is awesome. Most kids just stand outside and smoke but I like to go into this cool little shop that sells indian jewerly and lamps. Maybe sounds wierd, but I enjoy it. Also, you'll be glad to know that I've made friends! More than a few actually. I think its just because alot of the teachers dont know english and when they talk to me i just say ridcoulus things in reply, that the kids understand but they dont. Thus, the kids think I'm funny ( little do they know)
Also, yesterday I met with Chris ( A german exchange student that went to washington last year) We met in Flensburg, and walked around the city and got Flensburgs famous beer. He was very nice to me. I would say he's cute but right now my view on cuteness is very bias, anyone who speaks english is cute in my eyes. He asked me to go to some party with on saturday, buut bieng the social butterfly I am I already have a party to attend on that day. My friend from school invited me to a party in an abandoned farmhouse, sounds very risque' haha

I'll write more later, right now I must go defend the american flag
